We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration number ZA987654.
For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, CloudNode Analytics Ltd is the data controller in respect of personal data we collect about visitors to our website and users of our platform. In relation to personal data that our customers upload to the CloudNode platform, we act as data processor and process such data only on the customer's instructions.
If you have any questions about this policy, please contact us at privacy@cloudnodeanalytics.co.uk.
2. What Data We Collect
Account data
When you register for a CloudNode account, we collect your name, work email address, company name, and billing information. Billing information (card details) is handled exclusively by Stripe and is not stored on our servers.
Usage data
When you use the CloudNode platform, we collect information about how you interact with it, including pages visited, features used, and session duration. This data is used to improve the product and for aggregate analytics.
Infrastructure metrics
Data streamed to CloudNode by the agent (CPU, memory, log events, custom metrics) is processed and stored on your behalf. We act as data processor for this data; your organisation is the data controller.
Communications
If you contact us by email or via the contact form, we retain the content of your message and your email address to respond to your enquiry.
3. How We Use Your Data
We process your personal data on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR Article 6:
- Art. 6(1)(b) — performance of contract: to provide and manage your CloudNode subscription, process payments, and deliver customer support.
- Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests: to improve our product, prevent fraud, and send you product update communications. You may opt out of product updates at any time.
- Art. 6(1)(c) — legal obligation: to comply with applicable laws including financial record-keeping requirements.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Data Retention
We retain account data for the duration of your subscription plus 7 years thereafter, as required by UK tax and accounting regulations. Usage analytics data is retained for 24 months in identifiable form, then aggregated.
Infrastructure metrics you upload are retained according to the retention policy configured on your account. Deleting your account triggers a right-to-erasure workflow that purges all associated data within 72 hours.
5. Your Rights Under UK GDPR
As a data subject, you have the following rights:
- Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data.

6. Third-Party Processors
We share data with the following sub-processors, each bound by data processing agreements:

- Amazon Web Services (AWS) — cloud infrastructure hosting. Data is stored in the EU (eu-west-1) by default.
- Intercom — customer support chat and ticketing. Name and email shared only if you open a support conversation.
We do not use any advertising or tracking sub-processors.
